Parents always ask themselves, where does the time go?
we went from this:
Feb 7, 2009
to this:
Feb 7, 2014
Seriously, she's FIVE now?!
We spent her actual birthday at the 'Land of Happiness and did the matching family tshirts thing:
shirts from www.adaptclothing.com
we surprised her with a dinner at Goofy's Kitchen too, where the cake came in a pink treasure chest:
there was more celebrating the next day, this time with Mike's family. His brother's birthday was the day before Keira's, so it was a double celebration:
Then on Sunday, it was the real deal. We went with a Frozen theme, because well, that's what all the cool kids are doing. Not really, but it's the hot thing of the moment. It was supposed to be a movie party, but I decided I wanted to give her a big surprise for her milestone birthday...
Elsa in da house!!
She read stories:
Led the girls in Freeze Dance:
And stayed to sing Happy Birthday over a tower of donuts:
I think this was probably the easiest, least stressful party I've ever thrown. It was pizza, hot dogs, chips, fruit and donuts and the entertainment was half the party. I love that Keira's closest friends were there to celebrate with her and share in her day.
and the best part? a "real" tiara from one princess to another. Right before it was placed on her head, Elsa told her that as long as she wears her tiara, all her princess dreams will come true.
We hardly ever have royalty at the house, so a picture was necessary:
but there always has to be that weird guy too:
someone is trying to steal Keira's thunder.
