that's what I'm eating right now. in particular, roasted garlic hummus with actual minced garlic right in the center. doesn't make for nice breath, but it sure is good with tortilla chips. better than eating fries at 10 o'clock at night, right?
an update on the happenings, in no particular order (because my mind works that way):
went to visit the house again on Sunday. we now have texture on the walls, a back retaining wall, a second layer of stucco on the exterior and the precursor to tile in the bathrooms. They're getting ready to lay the pavers down for the driveway too. holy moly guacamole, I wonder what they'll have done next?!
Keira's been interested in feeding herself lately, so we gave it a go with yogurt. I'm not sure how much of it actually ended up in her mouth, but it was funny to watch her try. the cleaning up part...not so fun.
my stint at Reflections with the make and take turned out better than I expected. I was very unsure going into it, but managed to run out of kits at the end. I guess that's a good thing huh?
we made a spur-of-the-moment trip to the beach on Saturday, and what a great decision it was. the weather was really nice and we got awesome parking in between two red curbs...no one in front or behind us!! not to mention it was just one block up from the sand too :) We weren't prepared with anything more than two beach towels and sunscreen for Keira, but that didn't stop her from getting down to her diaper at the end. Despite almost being knocked over by a small wave coming in, she showed no fear and kept pulling Mike further and further into the surf. We had to drag her away from the water screaming!
my brother is back in so cal for the summer to do an internship with the public health department as part of his Master's in Public Health Program. He's also turning the big 3-0 on Friday. can someone tell me when and how my little brother grew up so fast?!
We're pretty excited about our family cruise coming up next week. It's Mike's first time ever on a cruise, and I think he plans on fasting for a few days in order to be ready for non-stop eating on the boat. it'll be Keira's first vacation too, so its going to be a ton of fun!
that's about it. only 4 days of work lie between me and vacation!!
