As a kid, when it would rain, I would put on a pair of rainboots, grab an umbrella and go outside. Albeit, I would be wearing shorts and a tshirt too but I loved being in the rain. My brother would do it too. We would crouch down and lower the umbrella as close to the ground as we could, as if we were in our own little shell. And we would just sit there, with the rain coming down around us, like a bunch of silly kids.
Some days after school, if it was raining, we would change into our pajamas, grab our down comforters off our beds and snuggle up on the couch watching whatever was on tv. Snug as two bugs in a rug.
I really like when it rains. It's comforting to me for some reason, it just is.
It's a good day for something warm and soupy, like clam chowder or chicken noodle soup.
The only thing I don't like about the rain? Driving in it. And driving in it with other drivers around me that drive like it's not raining. It almost terrifies me, really.
But still, I love the rain.
now jamie i really do not know that you and ryan love the rain and the two of you did what you described. guess i learn something new everyday. at times i like to sit by the window to watch the rain drops and listen to the sound which is quite soothing (is that the way to spell it?)

I love the rain too but for different reasons. It reminds me of my duck hunting days, standing in knee-high rice ponds in my chest waders waiting for the ducks and geese to fly by and shoot them. Now, I love the rain because I don't have to water my veggie garden.
