I'm sitting in the parking lot of Keira's school and I can't leave.
I'm in shock.
I figured it would be a typical morning dropping Keira off at school, with the standard tears and crying that comes along. I carried her into her room (despite the fact that she has been getting better about walking), but still no crying. All the kids were sitting down at the table coloring and cutting paper. I thought I'd entice her to do the same, hoping to ease the pain.
I put her down, go to sign her in and turn around to find her sitting down, in a chair, next to the teacher, getting her coloring on.
Gasp. Not even a peep out of her. I even got a wave and a "bye mommy" from her.
(insert tear drop here)
Baby steps for my growing girl.
I better wipe my face dry before I head off. Not really, but still.
yay!!!!!!!!! do you need mommy counseling now?

allow me to psychoanalyze what happened. she did not cry because she felt very certain that she will not be abandoned and someone who loves her will pick her up on time. you and mike give her the confidence. consistency pays off that she will be picked up and returns to a home which makes her feel safe. obvious she likes the school too.

dang...mom just totally PSYCHOANALYZED the CRAP out of that situation, but it sounds spot on.
Anyways, just wanted to drop in and say that I am glad she is growing up and I cannot agree with mom more. Look forward to seeing you guys some time soon.
