I've waited for the day that I could do this to Keira.
put piggytails in her hair:
Mike and I look back at old pictures and can't believe how little hair she had when she was born. and right now, we try and imagine her with longer hair...but we can't.
I forgot to post something on her 17 month birthday, but seeing that she's on the verge of being a year and a half, here's a quick rundown of Keira as she is now:
her vocabulary has grown a lot. she's added things like heavy, all done, tum-tum (tummy), wow-wow (as in Wow Wow Wubbzy), Mi Mow (Mickey Mouse), Mimmie (Minnie Mouse), light, off and some of the numbers to her arson of words. she can also name off two of her 5 cousins...Cob Cob and Ashey. she recognizes her ba-ba (Mike) and fu-fu (Ryan) if she sees a picture of either one of them too.
she's still primarily a milk drinker. some days she'll eat what we consider a lot of food for her, other days not so much. she's pretty hefty for not eating a ton of food, so it's okay for now.
we've started teaching her how to brush her teeth. most of the time she just eats the teeth cleanser, so we have to hold her down and do the brushing ourselves.
she's taking showers now as opposed to baths. it's easier for everyone all around.
she's getting good at going up stairs standing up and doesn't always need to hold on to the banister. going down is a slightly different story, but so far so good.
she's still not sleeping through the night, and is still on the bottle. I'm starting to let go of the idea of weaning her off, and just letting her do it on her own. but we'll see.
