that's how my Dad says Merry Christmas when he's being silly. Which is quite a bit of the time.
Mike and I made it up to the Bay Area safe and sound. We left just before 8 this morning and got here around 2. We saw some snow in the Grapevine, pockets of heavy and light rain, sunshine and tons of tumbleweed. Even did some highway manuevering around them, kinda like playing Frogger. but the best and coolest thing that we saw on the drive home was this:
FULL rainbows. these are pictures of the first and third ones, I didn't get one of the second. but we thought it was pretty darn cool...and somewhat of a good omen too. how often to you see rainbows from one end to the other? unfortunately, there were no pots of gold to be seen.
Last night we celebrated the holiday with Mike's family. We both had to work, and sat in some traffic going up to Mike's parents' house. We ate as soon as we got there and Mike's nieces were itching to open gifts. We kept telling them that Santa only brings gifts to those who are patient.
Gift opening was sort of a whirlwind but we did get a bunch of family pictures taken. it's amazing how it seems to keep growing every year.
have a Merry Christmas everyone!
