Thanksgiving was good. Started off the day taking some family photos for the Hari's so they could get started on their holiday cards. I might've gotten one or two decent ones, but the girls were not into it much...it was getting close to naptime.
We had dinner at Mike's sister's house, along with my parents and Ryan. I avoided overstuffing myself, but overindulged in desserts which I really shouldn't have done. But who can resist?
I worked on Black Friday, it was slow but I managed to keep busy most of the day. One of my techs did come in for a few hours, and it was nice to have some company for part of the day. I might've overdid myself trying to get things cleaned up, because I was pretty tired when I got home.
I had a mini maternity shoot with my dad Saturday morning. He's been getting more and more into photography lately (he's always been a big photographer since my brother and I were kids), so I wanted to give him a chance to practice a bit more. I probably should've put on some makeup and done my hair, but I didn't. Nonetheless, we managed to get a few good ones and even a Christmas card picture out of it.
We had dinner at Fukada Restaurant later that night, it was recommended to me by another pharmacist I worked with last weekend. A cool thing about this place is that they serve both organic miso soup and brown & white rice. Between the five of us, we had various combination plates which included hot udon or soba noodles, crunchy rolls, curry vegetables over brown rice, spicy tuna over brown rice and tempura. Grand total? $63. It wasn't the best Japanese food we've ever had, but it wasn't that bad either. If you're interested in trying the place, I'd go early because there will be a wait for dinnertime.
