just got home from an evening at Disneyland. pretty tired and tummy feeling kinda uneasy, but wanted to post a few pictures from the night. We went with Nirmal and Jaspreet, while Ed and May met us there later on. We went on a few rides (Buzz Lightyear twice, the Rocket Ship and the Haunted Mansion) and dined on some gumbo and chowder with ice cream for dessert soon after.
they drove down from Monterey Park and it turns out it'll probably be the last time they get to go to D-land. Their passes expire next week so they wanted to get one last visit in beforehand.
May and I both work in the same field (but her company pays A LOT better than mine). Ed, Mike and Nirmal all met in college and were even roommates at one point.
Jazz and Nirmal.
They live just a mile or two down from us, so they're our closest neighbors. Jazz is out there, healing the world and saving lives. Nirmal...well, we're not really sure what he does. When we went over to pick him up (Jazz was on her way home from work), he was still in his pjs and taking out the trash. Apparently the ten or so phone calls that Mike made to him were unanswered because he was still sleeping...at 6pm in the evening.
and for the record, Mike DID NOT eat both of these. We ordered ONE sundae and were waiting for it when the lady handed him two. She asked if he was by himself and gave him the other one because no one claimed it. can't let an unclaimed sundae go to waste right?
the one we ordered is on the left. it's the Main Street Mocha Sundae minus the whipped cream (I don't care for it). the other one was a mocha almond fudge and mint chocolate chip sundae. He barely ate any of that one. I almost devoured mine.
By the way, doesn't Mike look good? that's what a 20+ pound loss will do to you...and he still plans on losing more.
so that was our night. even if it was just a few hours and we didn't go on very many rides, it was nice to spend some time hanging out with friends.
