It's hard to believe it's the last day of 2006. and tomorrow when I wake up, it'll be 2007. this year has flown by so fast, I'm not sure where it's gone. We went on our first vacation together this year, we got engaged, I changed stores, Mike turned 30, we became godparents, and now we're planning a wedding. holy cow, I'm sure that's not even all of it.
I really want to be more excited about the start of a new year. I guess because I've more or less just been working the same old monotonous routine day in and day out, tomorrow will just seem like another day. But it's not, it's the first day of the first month of a new year. This coming year will hold a lot for us. 5 more months of planning and the wedding will be here. We'll be husband and wife. And maybe we'll even find ourselves in a new home by the end of the year (if things go right that is..)
I'm gonna try and document 2007 in a small miniBook. I'm biting this idea off of my Hawaii friend and using the KI calendar paper. And I also plan on changing the blog banner every month too and saving that as part of the book. maybe a picture or two from each month as well, just so that I have something to look back on when 2008 rolls around.
So what am I and the Mister up to tonight?? Not much really. I have to work tomorrow, so no staying out late for me, and we're both still a little under the weather. Not even sure if we'll still be awake for the arrival of the new year. I came home from work (and it was pretty steady too), and Mike had a pot of pho brewing. It was really good and helped clear the sinuses. There's nothing like hot pho and Sriracha to get your nose running. Mike's vegging out in front of the tv, I'm upstairs updating this here blog and later on, we'll bust out the good ole apple cider to toast in the new year. maybe we'll try and find a movie to watch on pay-per-view too.
Hope those of you reading this had a safe and memorable New Year's Eve and that 2007 finds you healthy and happy. We're both looking forward to sharing many memories with all of you, our family and friends!
(is that enough sappiness for ya?? :) )
